“I DON’T GIVE A SHIT.” Those were the exact words one of the YMCA trainers told me while I was working out. I was recording my workout, and the trainer approached me and told me I needed to stop recording or I would be kicked out. I explained that I was confused because other staff members had previously told me recording was allowed. His response was that he “didn’t give a shit.” His attitude became aggressive, and he told me he was going to ban me. I went downstairs and spoke with the manager on duty. After explaining what happened, she told me I could continue doing what I was doing and suggested that I avoid the trainer because, apparently, he had an issue with me. Respectfully, I’m a paying member. I pay for my membership and parking pass because I want to use the facility—not to feel like I have to avoid someone who is supposed to provide a professional environment. I’m asking for this situation to be addressed properly. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, especially when they are paying to be part of the community. the show has just begun…….👌

Used my AWAY benefit to use the facility while traveling for work. One of the nicest Ys I’ve ever been to. Huge facility. Got pretty crowded starting around 4:30. Very comparable to the Tellepsen Y in downtown Houston.

The YMCA has become my home away from home. Its clean and the staff is always friendly. I got a membership and never looked back.

Check-in was seamless as an out-of-area guest. The facility itself is stacked with top-notch equipment, an indoor track, pool, sauna, steam room, and basketball courts. Spotlessly clean and professionally run, plus they had complimentary coffee and tea available on my way out which was a nice touch.

This Y would be nice if they thought more about the structure of the facility, especially the pool/sauna. You can’t even go into the sauna because it is packed full every time at all hours. It’s hard to even get a good workout in with how many people are here at a time. Most treat this as a social gathering rather than a workout gym. The sauna and steam room need to be bigger. Not worth all the money.
